Monarch Yoga At The Park - Schuylkill Banks and Clark Park

In anticipation of their opening in University City later this summer, Monarch Yoga will be hosting outdoor yoga classes in the district throughout the summer. Toll The Bell – Penn Live Arts
June 5
Toll the Bell is a city-wide sound installation bringing greater awareness to the gun violence epidemic affecting our city and the nation. On June 5, National Gun Violence Awareness Day, a prolonged period of bell ringing and other sound-making will take place at 45+ locations across the city and beyond. A collaboration with Penn’s Office of the Chaplain, Interfaith Philadelphia and many faith-based organizations and other partners, the sound installation will be paired with an interfaith vigil service and a community walk of reflection.
Up Late with the Sphinx – Penn Museum

Have you ever wanted to explore the museum galleries after dark? Join Penn Museum during Up Late with the Sphinx for an evening filled with games and gallery activities. Drop into a hands-on workshop and make something special to take home, then finish your evening with a flashlight tour through the museum. The program is designed to be enjoyed by children ages 6-12.
Penn & Philly: 250 – Penn Museum

Join Penn Museum for a FREE community day focused on empowering the community, sharing valuable resources, education, entertainment, and fun. The Juneteenth Freedom Stage will offer live music and performers, food trucks, and local small-business retail vendors. Alongside the stage there will also be an activity zone for all ages, pop-up exhibitions, educational workshops, and access to all the galleries. The Wellness Empowerment (WE) Project (a collaboration with Wharton and Penn Medicine) will feature a health and wellness fair, financial literacy resources, health screenings, and access to community-based services.
Juneteenth FREEDOM Celebration – The Rotunda

Juneteenth FREEDOM Celebration 2026 is Philadelphia’s premier cultural event honoring Black freedom, resilience, and excellence. Spearheaded by renowned community leader and event curator Bigga Dre (Amun Sen Hotep Re), this annual celebration has become a vital space for connection, empowerment, and cultural expression in the city. Rooted in the legacy of Juneteenth—the historic commemoration of the emancipation of enslaved African Americans—this event is a vibrant reflection of Philadelphia’s Black community and its ongoing contributions to art, activism, and progress. Attendees can expect a powerful blend of live performances, spoken word, educational programming, and showcases of local Black-owned businesses and creatives.
Adventure Mode Activated – Penn Museum

Attention Minecrafters: Think you know your obsidian from your iron? Trade screen time for family time and discover the real-world roots of your favorite game in this hands-on adventure. Join Penn Museum on a kid-friendly guided tour where you will explore the real-world artifacts and cultures behind Minecraft’s most iconic elements. Unearth ancient tools from Africa, journey through the vibrant cities of Mesoamerica, and check out the battle-ready armor worn by Greek hoplites. Then, get creative in a hands-on workshop, where you’ll make your own dazzling paper mosaic using colorful tiles—an original form of pixel art that goes back thousands of years.
Nothin’ But Style – The Rotunda

Nothin’ But Style hits Philadelphia with an all-styles battle for adults, and an all-styles battle for kids, too! There is something for all dancers, and EVERYONE is welcome! Doors to battle open at 3 PM, and before that, there will be classes with some amazing guest teachers, so be on the lookout for the announcement about class times! This event is all about inclusion and positivity, so please remember to leave any and all negativity at the door, and enjoy a day full of positive exchanges of energy with your fellow dancers and the community.
Sunday Reset with Dope Botanicals – Institute of Contemporary Art

Explore how to build herbal supports using Shaker-inspired principles of simplicity and everyday practice. Participants will experience a chilled tasting and then create a custom herbal tea blend that fits real life. Through ICA’s Dope Botanicals Blending Lab, participants will match common nervous system patterns (overstimulation, tension, sleep disruption, stress belly) to supportive herbs and build a personalized blend. Then end with a short nervous system reset practice that participants can use anytime. Everyone who takes part will leave with a labeled custom tea blend + a ritual card.
Wawa Welcome To America Celebration – Penn Museum

Bring your friends and family to explore the Penn Museum for FREE as part of this year’s Wawa Welcome America, the largest July 4th celebration in America! Explore our shared humanity across 10,000 years of history—from the very first cities of the Middle East to the lives of Native American communities today. Take in the vibrant cultures of Africa, Asia, the Mediterranean, and Mexico & Central America through ancient artifacts, world wonders, and contemporary artworks.
Enjoy activities for all ages, including Family Adventures, bite-sized, interactive experiences designed for curious kids and their grown-ups at starting at 11 am and 2 pm. Handle artifact replicas at Cartifacts stations, test yourself with an engineering building challenge, or chill out in the Sphinx Gallery reading nook.
